Help At Last!

I think I have a new aupair, thank God!

No money to pay her, mind, but I can’t work without one, and I’ll be able to go out busking and focus on my students and hopefully get more. My last aupair’s friend sometimes stays here when she goes out in the city (because her host family is the other side of the island), and her friend who stayed with her last time – who also knows my old aupair – is with a family in a village but doesn’t like it, so asked would I be interested in having her come live with us.

My daughter took to her instantly last weekend when they stayed and would only eat her breakfast if this girl fed her, so it seems ideal. We’re going to meet up over the weekend to discuss it and all being well, she will give her two-week notice to her current family.

I’m still worrying about money and I’m still behind in rent, but without childcare I can’t possibly make that situtation any better. So I think it’s the right gamble for me. I hate that we’re in this situation, but it is what it is. At least we’re not living under the same roof as the Narc.

I can actually use the gym I’m paying for each month! And I can go to the entrepreneur monthly meetup! And I can busk with my guitar for tips again. It’s been tough. Especially trying to get new students with my daughter acting up. When she’s out being entertained I can focus on teaching, and gym time will help me relax, which is important for me to be a better mama. It’ll be so nice to have some downtime. I’ve been trying to file my taxes online for the past 4 days and I can’t do it while my daughter is awake and I’m too tired at night. I must do it before the 30th, though!

Things like that, and recording (when I manage to get the MacBookPro), and writing my teacher blog, it’s impossible to do with a little one throwing herself everywhere. She loves the aupairs too, so it’ll be nice for my baby girl.
